A true giant of our industry, Mr. Morris founded The Morris Companies in 1971, establishing it as a leader in CRE development across the Northeast and Florida. His impact on the New Jersey landscape—and the buildings many of us operate today—cannot be overstated.

Beyond his business success, Joe was a dedicated advocate for our industry. We acknowledge his long-standing leadership, including his tenure as a Trustee and officer for NAIOP NJ, and his role as a founding member of the Developers Political Action Committee (DPAC).

Jeff Milanaik noted that "there are few titans of our industry who are as well respected as Joe Morris."
