PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Our annual Earth Day program this year comes at a key moment in New Jersey’s efforts to reduce greenhouse gasses that springboard off very generous utility incentives to improve energy efficiency, assist in peak load management technologies and degasify the entire state by converting fossil fuel systems to electric.  All in concert with the United Nations framework called the United Nations Framework on Climate Change (“UNFCC”) that is in alignment with current corporate governance standards and potential SEC reporting.  Utility incentives will be financed by higher rates so proactive utility customers might be compelled to embrace the planning the projects necessary to reduce consumption through efficiency improvement.  NJ Benchmarking regulations are an important basic step to understand your building’s efficiency level constructing an action plan.

Kevin Monte de Ramos, Bureau Chief – Energy Efficiency and Building Decarbonization will explain NJ’s greenhouse gas reduction objectives, our progress to date, the work and cost ahead to reach them and inspire everyone to action.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Kevin Monte de Ramos has joined the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities as the Bureau Chief for Energy Efficiency and Building Decarbonization.  In this role, Kevin oversees a proposed $7.2 billion triennium portfolio consisting of both technical and financial assistance to enhance building energy performance.  We engage owners, operators, and occupants in these programs.  We are very excited to participate in BOMA’s Earth Day celebration.

After a three decades serving utilities as an service innovation consultant, I have accumulated experience with advanced analytics, evolving technologies, building operations, management consulting, grid modernization, distributed energy renewables, and the implementation of energy services.  It is my desire to inspire you to action and to provide you the context necessary to embed sustainability into your day-to-day operations, capital expenditure budgets, and maintenance schedules.  I invite you to engage with me throughout the event and make myself available to you for ongoing discussions following the event.
